The Acer Aspire E 15 ES1-511-C590 is Acer’s take on the lowest-end full-size laptop segment. This model competes directly against the 250-dollar laptops such as the Toshiba Satellite C55-B5201, Asus X551MAV-RCLN06, or Lenovo G50-30.

All of these laptops have the same processor and lack advanced features such as touchscreen, keyboard backlight, or Full HD display. The CPU is the Intel Celeron N2830 dual-core. In short, it’s good for entry-level computing involving web surf, writing texts, basic photo editing, video and music play, and playing some less demanding PC games. As for RAM and hard drive capacities, 4GB and 500GB are enough for multitasking and normal use of Windows and common apps. But, the hard drive speed is 5,400rpm, which is usual but slow in comparison to the pricier solid state drives. Performance-wise, it’s a bottleneck of the system, but keep in mind that the same kind of HDD is found in almost every budget mainstream notebook on the market. As a downside in comparison to some other similarly priced alternatives, the Acer Aspire E 15 ES1-511-C590 has no built-in DVD drive.
