My ESC 2017, NEWS on Saturday, 13th May 2017:

Eurovision has always been a celebration to me, let me call this a show in which I can measure my yearly position of taste in reflection of EU votersThis year I wanted to monitor my taste in numbers, so far it matched 43% which means concord with voters almost their half of. The others could not reach me, they did not raise my emotions that is I did not like them. Already in the beginning of the Hungarian selections I lost my favourites, though I like none of them could reach the 1st place. Last year Freddy, in the previous years Kallay Saunders Andras were the singers I could rely on on Eurostage. They fitted there. However, sometimes it was ridiculous, I hoped that this year Spoon, Chase, Henderson David and KS Andras will be in the Hungarian winners, none of them had success in going further, instead Papai Joci was the singer whom Hungary chose to represent itself on the stage of ESC. Joci chose a song I did not like that is why I gave him 6 scores out of 10, which still is a very good result for him.

This evening I disliked the EU voters' results. I summed it all up in a clear and disamiguous chart of which content brings the places via scores other countries gave to them. Televoting has always been the clear feed back giving, as I remember sometimes with very slow and complex procedures due to low qualitity 70s and 80s technical environments. After the 90's it speeded up, though it became fast enough after 2000 since the computer grid and smart systems allowed the evaluators give results sooner. Other changes, e.g. live band disappeared, only the singers had to perform live on stage.

Last but not least I chose English to blog my attitude to the contest because in Hungary a lot of people understands (and there is google translator) both English and Hungarian, English is easy to read, but the non-Hungarian voters or just ones who are interested what I am into through my blog could follow my reflections and reasons from abroad why and how I am an ESC fan and how I participate in it. As I mentioned each year I test my taste whether I can keep up with the EU trends or not. The monitoring numbers have a clear role in it. Now here the results are, and I deeply hope that next year brings a higher rate in concord:

One by one the concord was 43%. Let us see how it changed in the first 3 places:
