3. Add an exclusion to anti-virus

 


  • Start Avast Antivirus if not running or launch it from the taskbar hidden menu.

  • Click onAvast Settings.

  • Select Avast Protections.

  • Click the Customization link set next to Web Shield. This will open a fresh window.

  • From the left sidebar, Click the Exclusions option.

  • Find the Google folder and Click Select Folder.

  • Click OK to rescue changes.

 

Allowing Chrome to get into the system in your firewall or antivirus settings isn't common, but when it does occur, it is due to your security application blocking the connection.
